Etsi Architects Named in Mononews Architecture Top 20 for 2026
We are delighted to share that Etsi Architects has been included in the Mononews Architecture Top 20 for 2026, a prestigious annual selection celebrating the architects and practices shaping contemporary Greek architecture.
The feature highlights three of Eleni Tsigarida’s projects in the Mani: the Kalderimi-Pigi, a restored stone pathway in the village of Pigi which was awarded a Gold Award and a Landscape Design prize at the GRAIL Awards 2026; the Olive Press House in Kotroni, which received a Commendation for Adaptive Reuse and Restoration; and the Teloneio Kardamyli, the historic 18th century customs house transformed into a family home, which was longlisted for the prestigious EUmies Awards 2026.
The Mononews feature describes Eleni’s approach as rooted in a deep relationship with place, working closely with residents, craftspeople and local communities, and following each project from design through to construction. It is an architecture of continuity: giving old buildings and pathways new life, while ensuring they remain woven into the everyday life of the communities around them.
